Christmas 2012

Christmas this year at our new home was busy. Brian's family drove in from Iowa & Illinois and my mom came down from Fort Collins. With 8 extra people in the house things were crazy, but fun.

It was nice to host in our home and start making our own little family traditions.

Grace had a blast playing with her cousin Ellie who is a year younger.

Here is Jack by all of the presents on Christmas Eve.

Santa and the Grandma's provided quite the loot for everyone.

This is a great picture to treasure with Great-Grandma, Nana and the kids.

GG with her two grand kids.

All the cousins sported matching pjs before Santa's arrival. This is a tradition I hope to keep each year with our kids that they will wear matching pjs.

My two adorable kids.

Christmas morning was fun. Grace was so excited and couldn't wait to see what Santa brought. This is the first year she understood what Santa was all about. She kept talking about how he was going to bring her a snow white dress. I tried to get her to understand that Santa does his best, but sometimes he can't bring everything you ask for. She didn't quite get that, but thankfully she seemed satisfied with what Santa delivered.

Here is Grace checking out her stocking.

Jackson and his stocking.

Time to open presents! Grace had quite the pile.

Finally she found her Snow White dress which is a trunk of other dresses and accessories. She was getting pretty upset after a while when everything she opened was not the dress.

Snow White!

After presents we had a wonderful breakfast and family time. Later Grace helped me make a cake to celebrate baby Jesus's birthday. Here she is decorating it - she put on just a few sprinkles...

After nap time the kids went outside to play in the fresh snow. It was a white Christmas at our house and so beautiful.

Jack stayed inside and stayed warm.

Here is the finished cake. We sang happy birthday to Jesus - another tradition I hope to keep with our kids each year.

We had a wonderful visit with family and a nice Christmas. It was fast and fun. We hope you all had as great of a Christmas as we did.
