No daddy! This is MY computer.

Happy Father's Day & Birthday for Annie

Yesterday was Brian's first Father's Day and my birthday. A day to celebrate both of us. We started off the day with me making breakfast on the new waffle maker I got Brian. Grace took a super long nap and then we went to the pool for a bit. Grace tried out her new little clip on sunglasses Grandma G had specially made for her glasses. Due to the eye drop we have to put in her eye she is pretty sensitive to the sun. She had fun at the pool and loved watching the other kids that were there.

Here is Grace with Brian - unfortunately not looking at the camera, but she is sporting one of her Cubs outfits. And the Cubs won yesterday so it was a good day for Brian!

Pool time!

Grace tried out a little floatable car that a neighbor let us use since we couldn't get our little floaty thing blown up.

In other news, we finally have a date for Grace's next surgery. It will be August 5th. Both doctors will be there to check her eye and also do the muscle surgery which will help straighten her eye.

Otherwise not much going on here. Happy Summer!

Happy 11 Month Birthday Grace!

Someone likes cake!

On Saturday our good friends Kenny & Brooke got married. Brian, Grace & I went and were part of their big day. We got Grace all dressed up and everyone just loved her as usual. Kenny & Brooke got married at the Denver courthouse and then we all headed to dinner. Grace did great. She took in the moment and had fun.

First the happy couple.

Next Grace checking out the courthouse.

After the ceremony we headed to dinner. Towards the end of dinner it was getting late and Grace was done. She was ready for bed! So in an effort to get her to last just a bit longer I let her try my piece of cake. Then I let her go hog wild and practice for her upcoming birthday. Needless to say, I think she liked it!

And finally Grace with the bride.

First Haircut

Tonight we took Grace to get her first haircut. Her bangs were so long and were in her face constantly, and the fights in the morning (not really fights, but it is sometimes hard to get her to sit still to put her hair into a ponytail or clip), that I figured it was time to trim them up. I was going to get my haircut so my stylist said she would do it for free. Here is the before photo:

The first cut.

I'm looking good!

What is this comb thing?

All done and looking good.

I have to say she looks pretty grown up now...uh, can't believe she will be one in about 6 weeks! I know Grace's hair will grow fast, so I am sure we will be back for another trim soon.

First trip to the Denver Zoo

On Sunday, Grandma G took us all to the zoo. This was Grace's first trip to the zoo and she seemed to have fun checking the animals out. It was perfect weather and it appeared everyone in Denver was at the zoo that day - it was so crowded. Before we went to the zoo, we headed to breakfast and Grace tried out a pickle for the first time, she seemed to like them a lot!

Now some zoo shots - with her new smile that includes a new tooth.

Not quite as big as a penguin yet.

First carousel ride. She looks so little on it, but she seemed to like it.

We had lots of fun at the zoo and I expect we will go many more times over the years.

And one more fun photo for fun. Huck let Grace go for a ride. He has really been such a good dog with her - we are very lucky - even if the dog does drive me nuts.
