Stockshow

This last Sunday we met GG over at the National Western Stockshow to check it out with Grace. We went first thing to try and avoid the crowds and it worked. It wasn't too busy as we wound our way through to check out the animals and fun things they had to do.

Grace was ready to go as we rolled along in her stroller and stopped to check out some animals including a pretty baby horse.

Grace grows tired of the stroller quickly these days - she'd rather walk, so here she is walking with GG.

How cute is she in these overalls?

Grace thought it was hilarious to look through the cutouts on this sign. It was pretty funny.

We eventually found the kids area and while Grace wasn't a fan of the petting zoo, she did love getting to ride this train.

And no fair visit is complete without some kind of bad for you food - Grace enjoyed her corn dog after a long morning of playing.

The stockshow was a lot of fun, and I imagine we will go probably every year. Maybe next year Grace will be more willing to ride a pony.

Happy New Year!

Since we know how early Grace gets up there wasn't anything to wild and crazy that happened on New Year's Eve. Brian had to work late so Grace & I played all day and wore our cool happy new year headbands all over town. Grace loved her Happy New Year headband so much that I think she wore that thing everyday for about a week - worth every penny.

Isn't she cute? Happy new year!

Christmas 2011

So this year we stayed in Colorado for Christmas. There was lots of prep that happened as far as Grace helping to make some gifts for her grandparents and cookie decorating.

 The finished product.

Waiting to see Santa.

Decorating cookies with Nana.

YUM!

Time for presents with Nana.

Nana got Grace a great Cabbage Patch doll that has pink glasses - just like Grace. Dolls are a hit these days so Grace loved this gift.

Nana came about a week before Christmas and we had lots of fun visiting with her. For Christmas we headed up to my mom's house for some fun and my sister and her husband came to town as well.

Here is our family photo - look how color coordinated we were this year?!

All of the girls.

GG & Grace having fun playing ring around the rosie.

Uncle Mark and Brian putting together the wagon from Santa.

The loot.

Grace opening her stocking. She was funny this year in she was into the opening of things, but then wanted to open whatever she got and play with it right then. She was overly spoiled as always!

Grace especially loved her new Yo Gabba Gabba underwear - although she tends to like to wear them on the outside of her clothes or over her diaper...someday she will potty train.

Checking out her new tricycle.

And then time to try the wagon with her pillow pet riding along.

Helping Uncle Mark open his present.

Another hit of a gift was her Yo Gabba boombox - probably one of the most annoying toys ever, but she loves it. Can you tell she loves Yo Gabba right now?

After presents it was time to play outside. We were blessed with a white Christmas and Christmas day was actually pretty nice out so we got out for a nice walk.

Loving her wagon!

It was a great holiday season and we look forward to many more fun ones in the future.

Gymnastics

Well since I had to use my work computer to upload some photos so we can get our condo rented I figured I'd use some lunch break time to update the blog too with some photos since all of them downloaded this morning. Maybe one day our laptop will be fixed...

In November and December I took Grace to a parent/tot gymnastics class. She wasn't super into it at first, but started liking it towards the end. These photos were taken at her last class. Her last class was fun because Brian and Brian's mom (Nana) got to come along and watch. Grace's favorite part by far was jumping in the trampoline. She always hated leaving that task to move onto the others. I think I will take her to another gymnastics class in a few months. It was a great way to burn some energy this winter!

Potty Time!

Well we still don't have a working computer - boo...the shop is still working on it and there is quite the wait. So I figured I'd do a mini update.

While this isn't super exciting for most, it is for parents as they see the end of the rainbow of diapers we have bought over the last 2 years. Grace has gone on the potty now a few times and while she is still a bit apprehensive with it all she is going so that is a bonus. I'm sure it will take some more time, but let me just say we are having giant parties right now when she does go. It is party (potty) time!

In other news, Brian & I are preparing to purchase a house. We are very excited and scared all at once. We have elected to keep the condo and rent it out due to the condo market being very bad and the prospect of selling the condo in a timely manner is low so we will now be renting it out. As we transition into life as homeowners and landlords, we are excited, terrified and optimistic that this new life in the suburbs will be a good one for our family. We told Grace we were moving to a bigger house and she just wanted to make sure Huck, our dog, got to come with us. It was pretty darn cute. Here's hoping the transition to a  new home and new school for Grace goes well.

And with any luck we will get our laptop back soon and I can update with cute Christmas photos. Until then, have a wonderful weekend!

Stay Tuned...

Our computer decided to go on the fritz so I can't get our holiday photos downloaded to share just yet. Hopefully we can get our computer fixed soon and up and running with any luck. So stay tuned for holiday cuteness.
