Grace enjoyed her first Christmas getting lots of presents from santa and everyone else in her life. She has lots of new toys to play with and has been having fun doing her best to get every last one in her mouth. That is her thing these days - to chew on everything! I am sure some teeth will be sprouting in a matter of weeks.
Here she is with her santa hat.

Checking out a new toy from Grandma & Grandpa Olson

Santa was good to mom and dad too. Here is Brian very excited about his new socks. :o)
And I was thrilled with the beautiful Coach purse my husband got for me and picked out on his own. He is one great santa as far as I am concerned. He spoiled me as usual and gave me a card that meant the world to me with his kind words. I hit the jackpot with this man. And I am pretty sure Grace liked the purse too as she was ready to eat it - lol.
Huckleberry even got in on the action from Santa with a big candy cane bone. He enjoyed it a great deal and surprisingly it took him about a week to finish which is unlike him since he finishes treats in record time usually.
After we opened presents at home we headed up to Grandma Gina's (GG) in Fort Collins for a Christmas celebration and to see Aunty K and her boyfriend Mark. There were no shortage of presents at GG's for Grace. Here she is surrounded, admiring the loot.
Here Grace is Christmas Day in her Christmas dress.
Hanging out with GG.
The Wadas (and a couple of Olson) women.
And another family shot.
It was a wonderful first Christmas with Grace and the celebrating continues into this weekend with a visit from Nana. Here they are having some fun.
In other news, we have started to give Grace cereal and now this week carrots. She loves dinner time. She can't get enough of the cereal and carrots this week.
Grace is growing fast and filling out. It is hard to believe she is already eating something other than milk. I will be interested to see what she weighs come mid-January when we take her in for her 6 month check up.
Coming up this week we will get her 6 month photos done and get ready for our next surgery. Grace will have her exam under anestesia on January 11th. This is a chance for Dr. Oliver to check her and make sure the retina is still attached and check for any new scar tissue. With any luck the doctor will just be looking and it will be a short surgery, but if need be he will fix any new issue he sees. Grace has been doing really well with her patching of her good eye and you can tell that she is starting to use her bad eye more which is great. We are hopeful this next surgery goes well - keep her in your prayers.
Happy New Year to all. We had a wonderful and amazing 2009 and are looking forward to an even more amazing and blessed 2010.
