Grace loves Kneip Chip Dip

While we were at mom's house helping her recover from shoulder surgery I made her favorite Kneip Chip Dip. Grace saw Brian & I snacking on it and decided to try it out. She LOVED it and as with most dips the chip was just a vessel to get the dip in her mouth and never really ate the chips. Luckily for GG Grace left her some to have later.

And finally on this football Sunday, Grace is getting very good at saying GO BEARS!

Christmas Card Photo Shoot

A couple of weeks ago when my mom was still in the hospital for her shoulder surgery, Grace & I headed outside to try and capture some photos for our holiday card this year. Grace had tons of fun chasing me and I even managed to get a few good photos. Here are some of the out-takes - even though many of them are fun and cute. I'll post our card in a few weeks.

Conversations with Grace

I thought I would post two conversations with Grace lately that we found pretty funny/cute.

The other night in the car on the way to bring Brian some dinner at his work Grace asked for her song - she loves the Black Eyed Peas song "I gotta feeling." So we are car dancing and in the song it says "I got my money!" Here is how the conversation went after that.

Me: Grace, you have your money?

Grace: YEAH!

Me: Really, where is it?

Grace: In my pocket.

Me: Who gave you money?

Grace: Daddy

Me: How much do you have?

Grace: 3

Me: What are you going to buy with your money?

Grace: Milk and bananas.

Me: Oh that's great.

Grace: And cheese sticks.

I thought it was so cute - at least she didn't say toys or candy and now you know her favorite food of late.

Then this morning while we were finishing getting ready I told Grace it was time to find her shoes. She looks at me and runs down the hall and says: MAMA I wear my boobs today. I wear boobs today.

Boobs=boots. So flipping funny.

It is amazing the things she says lately. There is a never a dull moment with little Gracie.

Halloween 2011

Grace loved Halloween this year. We first decorated our pumpkins with stickers on Saturday. She had a great time putting as many as she could on them. It was funny to see how focused she was while decorating.

On Halloween we headed to see our friends Sarah, Cameron & Colin to go trick-or-treating. Grace thought trick-or-treating was super fun. Every time we got done with a house she would say one more mama! We had a great time and Grace loved putting candy into her pumpkin pail Nana sent her and loved eating the candy! I let the little stinker hold a box of nerds on the way home - soon I heard her eating them and when I got her out of her seat they were little pink nerds everywhere! I saw them again today and it just made me laugh. She loved her candy.

Our little cupcake had a grand time this year. Looking forward to many years to come!

Fall Fun

It is hard to believe October is here - and well almost over. We have had lots of fun with Grace lately. She is pretty sassy these days. She loves to say things like - No Mama I in charge! - to us. She loves to express her independence and try things herself. Her new thing she is trying to perfect is putting on her own socks. It is a pretty frustrating task for her now, but I think she will get it soon enough.

A few weeks ago we headed to a local church that was selling pumpkins. GG was here so we had fun with her too. Grace loved handing out the little pumpkins to each of us.

Here she is getting ready to go.

And here is one for you....and you...

Last week Grace had her first gymnastics class. I signed us up for a parent/tot class at a local rec center. While Grace loved her leotard and prancing around the house, she was not a fan of the class. She didn't want to try much of anything the teacher was having us do. She was more into watching the other kids. She did a few things and hopefully as the weeks go on she will get more into it.

Sunday we headed to the park after to enjoy a nice fall day - the last before some snow arrives on Wednesday. Grace of course did lots of swinging - her favorite thing.

Here is Brian wearing his Payton jersey. It is kind of funny he wore #34 since on Wednesday he will turn 35.

In other news, we have been looking for a new home. We have decided with the economy the way it is the best thing for our family is to rent out our condo (because if we sold it we would lose a lot of money) and buy another home. I think we are all excited at the prospect of more space and a yard - and scared about two mortgages! We have found a few homes we like and we hope to find the one we love soon. There are some good deals to be had out there and we are hopeful we will find the right house for us soon.

Coming up this week is Brian's 35th birthday, a big snowstorm on Wednesday the weather people tell us and of course Halloween. Grace is going to be a cupcake this year. I know she will look super cute - I just hope she will wear the costume!

Happy Fall!

Time to Cook

Grace has been loving to help me cook. The other night we made pizza together. She had a grand old time. Of course I think her favorite part was eating all of the ingredients off the pan before it was cooked!

Grace must have filled up snacking on everything because once the pizza was cooked she only ate a few bites. All the same we had a fun time and are enjoying cooking together.

Summertime!

Summer has quickly come to a close. We are still hoping for some warm days, but we have already had fall like days here. As we wrap up another summer with our little Grace I'd like to share what she has been up to. Above you can see she has been all about her sunglasses - especially at night in the bath tub. My little diva.

Grace also recently got to have her first fudgsicle. She loved it!

Labor day weekend we headed to the Taste of Colorado with our friends Tommy & Ashley. It was a zoo and Grace of course wanted to walk now and then, but she did well and we managed not to lose her or get run over by the thousands of people. Here she is with a cupcake.

The Elway's brownie - I think this was her favorite. She truly is a chocolate girl.

Hanging with mom.

Grace's first funnel cake - again a favorite. I think she has a sweet tooth!

And here is a video of Grace dancing to a live band. She loves to dance and was also having fun imitating her father.

Finally, here is Grace trying out her first sucker on labor day. She liked it a lot, but was done with it pretty quick, which I suppose is good.

We hope everyone had a great summer. We look forward to fall as our adventures with Grace continue.
