Cubs Game!

Sunday we headed out to Coors Field to watch the Cubs take on the Rockies. Brian is a huge Cubs fan so it is a family tradition now to go to the ballpark for the game. Grace went to her first Cubs/Rockies game at 3 weeks old.

Grace is at an age where sitting still doesn't really happen. So, Grace & I headed over to the playground they have at the ballpark. Since the day before she was very independent at the playground I was trying not to hover. I had just run into a friend when I saw her going up the stairs to the slide. I was getting ready to come around to meet her when she stepped out at an opening that had a fireman's pole and fell 4 feet to the ground. My heart stopped and I couldn't get to her fast enough. The staff had the paramedics come to make sure she was okay and we spent around 45 minutes in the first aid station. Grace is thankfully fine and was back to normal dancing around and eating chex mix before we knew it. I think I'm more scarred than her!

We had fun the rest of the game, but the Cubs lost. It was a fun family day and sadly I don't have many photos since our camera died. We look forward to many more baseball games as a family.

In this last picture you will see Snowy, Grace's new friend. She got him at the first aid station while we are evaluating her to make sure she was okay. Why they are giving out snowmen at a baseball park since it is a summer sport I will never know, but Grace loves him already.

Park time!

Last Saturday it was pretty nice out so Grace & I headed to the park. We hadn't really been to the park in a while and she was a lot more adventurous and fearless this time around. It made me nervous, but she had a grand old time!

That night after bath time Grace decided she needed to go potty. We have had her little potty sitting in the bathroom just to get her interested. We don't really think she would be ready any time soon to potty train, but every now and then she will just sit there. She must have sat there for around 10 minutes that night. She didn't do anything, but it was sure cute and funny as she talked away about going "poppy" as she calls it.

New Table

Grace had been sitting at our big kitchen table more and more and not sitting in her high chair anymore. I had told my mom that I was thinking of getting Grace a mini table & chairs that was more her size and mom said she wanted to get that for Grace as an early birthday gift. So, off I went to pick out the perfect table for Grace. She loves it! Grace is always running over to her table now to eat. We do have a minor issue with her liking to switch chairs 12 times while eating, but otherwise she sits and eats and has a grand old time talking away.

And she is also into helping me cook more and more. She loves to stand on her stool and help. Isn't she cute?

Down on the Farm

A few weeks ago my mom & I took Grace to Lee Martinez Farm. This is a farm in Fort Collins that I remember going to as a kid. Grace had fun checking out the animals and playing on the little playground they had. The farm has pony rides, but we decided she wasn't quite old enough yet. Here are a few pictures from our farm adventure.

Wordless Wednesday - I want to wear mama's bras already.
